Because of the drama from my previous drawing I spent half a year without drawing a stick figure. Now I got the monkey off my back so I think it's time for a fresh start. I want to start with hope and positive light. I want to start with heart and passion. I want to start with love. Therefore, I chose to start with the picture I wanted to draw for a long time, the tender love scene of the elf princess and the destined king from my beloved movie LOTR.
This is my last minute entry for the couples & duos contest held by =Cataclysm-X, [link] ![]() I didn't have time to work on it as much as I wanted to thanks to work and something else. It also took longer than I expected thanks to some not-so-wise decision. A couple of years ago I've bought some watercolour pad thinking I'd start painting. Since then I haven't gotten around to do anything with that idea and left those papers untouched. I decided to use it for this drawing just to see how my drawing would turn out on a paper with some texture on it. Besides, because of the the theme I pictured the grainy paper would make the drawing look more dreamy and romantic. I think it turned out very close to the way I wanted except it took me forever just to make it look the way it is because the paper is sooooo unblendable. If I overlooked some flaw please let me know. My eyes are so useless right now.. Ref. from a screencap; [link] Pencils on A4 watercolour paper (the smoother side). |
