Because of the drama from my previous drawing I spent half a year without drawing a stick figure. Now I got the monkey off my back so I think it's time for a fresh start. I want to start with hope and positive light. I want to start with heart and passion. I want to start with love. Therefore, I chose to start with the picture I wanted to draw for a long time, the tender love scene of the elf princess and the destined king from my beloved movie LOTR.
This is my last minute entry for the couples & duos contest held by =Cataclysm-X, [link]
I didn't have time to work on it as much as I wanted to thanks to work and something else. It also took longer than I expected thanks to some not-so-wise decision.
A couple of years ago I've bought some watercolour pad thinking I'd start painting. Since then I haven't gotten around to do anything with that idea and left those papers untouched. I decided to use it for this drawing just to see how my drawing would turn out on a paper with some texture on it. Besides, because of the the theme I pictured the grainy paper would make the drawing look more dreamy and romantic. I think it turned out very close to the way I wanted except it took me forever just to make it look the way it is because the paper is sooooo unblendable.
If I overlooked some flaw please let me know. My eyes are so useless right now..
This is from one of my favorite scenes from the entire trilogy with Arwen, the music and how it was filmed come together beautifully. Excellent drawing, captures the moment beautifully
